Hi, I'm Jessi!
I'm a UX designer with a background in marketing and a research-first approach to solving real problems for real people.
I studied marketing at Cal Poly SLO, then launched my career at Family Care Network, a nonprofit serving children, youth, and families impacted by trauma. I wore every hat imaginable: copywriter, graphic designer, photographer, social media strategist, and web designer. That kind of cross-functional environment taught me how to think across disciplines, and that perspective has never left me.
Over time, I narrowed my focus to web design, and the more I leaned into the why behind the work, the more I wanted to go deeper. I completed Google's UX/UI certification through Coursera and found my direction. My marketing background means I'm not just thinking about how something looks, but how it works, why it matters, and whether it actually moves people.
Outside of design, you'll probably find me at jiu jitsu, exploring San Diego, or at the beach. 🙂
